How do you get there?
As you may have guessed from the lodge’s name, Jules Undersea Lodge, you have to go underwater in order to even get into the lodge. To be exact you have to scuba dive 21 feet underwater in order to enter the lodge. If this sounds like a lot of fun, this is only the beginning to the adventure you can have at the Jules Undersea Lodge. Once you get to the entrance, you will enter a wet room where you can get rid of your gear and take a quick shower before going into the rest of the living area of the lodge.
What is the living area like?
After you have enjoyed your shower, you can check out the rest of the living area in the Jules Undersea Lodge. There are two bedrooms and a common room. The common room has many things including a television, an eating area, an intercom, and especially a giant window for you to look out at all the underwater beauty. Just imagine how amazing it will be to look out the window and see all different types of fish staring back at you from the artificial reef. The entire living area is also air conditioned for your comfort while you stay at the Jules Undersea Lodge.
How is this lodge possible?
The Jules Undersea Lodge originally started out as a research facility for studying different types of fish. The entire lodge is underwater, and there is compressed air pumped in to keep the water from seeping into the lodge. The Jules Undersea Lodge is not only the first and only underwater hotel, but it was also the first underwater research facility.
